Zero Tolerance
Shull Transport maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol across our entire fleet. We participate in the FMCSA Clearinghouse through a certified consortium, conduct regular random testing, and ensure all supervisors are trained in reasonable suspicion protocols.
Our standards extend beyond substance use. We enforce policies that eliminate impaired or distracted driving in any form. From substance abuse to unsafe behaviors, every driver is held to a high level of accountability to ensure full compliance and protect the safety of our fleet, the public, and the freight we carry. All programs are managed internally to maintain consistent oversight and disciplined enforcement
We do not hire drivers on SAP programs.
Monitoring and Accountability
Driver Behavior and Supervision
We use sophisticated telematics and monitoring devices that work with AI to track speed, braking events, and HOS in real time, which helps reduce unsafe driving events.
Driving Habits
We actively monitor driving habits through in-cab technology and regular performance reviews. Observing patterns like speed, braking, and route compliance helps us coach drivers, reinforce safe practices, and maintain the highest safety standards across our fleet.
Hours of Service
We closely monitor Hours of Service for all drivers to ensure compliance with federal regulations. By observing driving patterns and rest periods, we prevent fatigue, promote safe operations, and keep our fleet running responsibly and reliably.
Inspections
All trucks in our fleet undergo regular inspections, both daily and scheduled, to identify and address any issues before they become problems. By closely observing every vehicle, we maintain safety, reliability, and compliance across our entire fleet.
review & Accountability
DRIVER Program
All incidents are thoroughly reviewed through our DRIVER program, our quarterly performance review system, to identify root causes and implement corrective actions that prevent recurrence. This structured approach allows us to track performance over time, address issues proactively, and maintain consistent accountability across our fleet. Drivers who demonstrate safe, professional performance are recognized and rewarded through this program, reinforcing the behaviors that keep our operation running safely and efficiently.
Continued Education
Truck Talk
Our ongoing safety and professional development program for drivers. Through regular sessions, we cover best practices, regulatory updates, hazard awareness, and practical skills that keep our fleet safe and efficient. It’s one of the ways we ensure our drivers stay informed, prepared, and committed to a culture of safety on every mile.
At Shull Transport safety is not just a policy, it’s a core part of how we operate every day. Our commitment is reinforced through a driver bonus program that rewards safe practices, ensuring everyone in our fleet has a direct stake in keeping our trucks, our team, and our deliveries secure.
